Robert Downey Jr. is all set to team up with director Sam Mendes in the latest silver screen production of the timeless children's classic The Wizard Of Oz. The original was made way back in 1939 and starred Judy Garland. In 1985, Disney produced a celluloid adaptation of a Frank Baum book "Return To Oz". The upcoming Oz strory will be a prequel to the 1939 movie and will tell the story of how a circus magician, who accidentally stumbled into the magical land of Oz on a hot-air balloon, became its ruler. Titled Oz The Great and Powerful, the movie is to be directed by Sam Mendes, whose other film, the 23rd James Bond flick, has been put on hold. Robert Downey Jr. will play Oz.
