Thiruvananthapuram, May 20 (IANS) Malayalam superstar Mammootty, who has just returned from a holiday in the US, is all set to put on the grease paint for Kannada film “Shikari”.The shooting for the film will start May 22 near Bangalore.
“I am fresh from a holiday and am rearing to be back to do what I know best. I will be starting shooting from day after for around eight days and then return to Kerala,” said Mammootty over phone from Bangalore.
The 56-year-old said that “Shikari” is an interesting film where he plays a double role, though the two characters never meet.
“One role I play is that of an IT professional and by chance I get a half written novel from my friend’s room. The novel is set in the pre-Independence period. The novel tells the tale of a hunter and a village girl and I feel the central character in the novel is the story of me, I mean a fantasy,” said the veteran actor.
