Nope, she was not asked to return the unsavory award because the award's panel of judges had changed their minds. She was accidentally handed the mighty expensive original trophy instead of the cheap fake one that is usually handed out to winners!
Last month, Sandra Bullock was handed the Golden Raspberry award in the Worst Actress category for her role in All About Steve. The actress actually made it to the show to pick up her dishonour. However, the ceremony's co-founder John Wilson realised much after the show that the star was handed the original trophy, which is worth thousands of dollars, instead of the replica that is usually given. He requested her to return it and she has graciously agreed to do just that!
Her publicist said, "We were never contacted by them to return the Razzie. I contacted them yesterday to check the validity of the story and was only told then that we had been given the wrong award. We will be returning the Razzie to them shortly."
